Dungog District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) in association with the Future of Farming Steering Committee invited all businesses interested in the future of agriculture in our Shire to join a forum held between 3-6pm on Friday 6 May 2022 at the Dungog Memorial RSL.
The aim of the forum was to:
· Build networks related to agriculture and local businesses
· Showcase unique local and regional agricultural ventures
· Update participants on various Dungog Shire planning initiatives
· Provide input into the Shire’s Economic Development Plan
The program included speakers from Dungog Shire Council, regional agencies and organisations involved in agriculture, as well as local businesses and individuals with a passion in a variety of agricultural pursuits including, agri-tech, cattle and sheep production, dairying, farm property management, horticulture, agroforestry, training, boutique production, regenerative agriculture, agricultural service providers such as contractors, suppliers and many other areas.
Thank you to all who attended and to the presenters. It was very good to see so many along, reflecting the interest in the future of farming in our region.
