Originally CBC Bed & Breakfast & Cafe was the Paterson Branch of the Commercial Banking Co. of Sydney. The elegant building has changed very little as we have aimed to keep its beauty and historical elements while maintaining a comfortable feel. The simply exquisite interior of the renovated CBC is heaven for any one passionate about Australia’s history.
Our luxurious country retreat, where you can step back in time and still enjoy the comforts of modern life, is waiting for you. Surrounded by beautiful late 19th century architecture every detail still intact including the high ornate ceilings and their unique patterns so typical of that particular period.
Each room is spacious with their own ensuite, fireplace and private facilities. All upstairs rooms have access to the balcony from which you can enjoy the view. The Bordello Room also has a luxurious spa.
There is also a guest sitting room complete with open fireplace and television. Enjoy a good book, watch some television or how about a game of cards!
We are also fully air conditioned throughout the building which will make your stay even better!

Why not take the trip out to see us as we are closer than you think but secluded enough from the rest of town so you can enjoy the country solitude of our retreat. Travelling by Car If travelling via car it is approximately 20 minutes from Maitland, an hour from Newcastle and approximately 3 hrs from Sydney. Travelling by Train If travelling via train it is an hour and a half from Newcastle and half an hour from Maitland. There is a station at Paterson located close to CBC
