Nancy Knudsen, my wife, and I trade under the name Blackwattle Studios in the fields of Architecture and Media.
I am an Architect, Nancy is a Journalist and Writer.

I practice as a single practitioner, having been a Corporate Architect from 1964 to 2001.
During my working life I have been involved in all facets of the profession, and worked in Commercial, Health, Government, Tourism and Residential fields.
I have worked in Sydney London, Wellington NZ, Hong Kong, Djakarta and Istanbul.
I lectured in Design at the Faculty of Architecture Bahcesehir University Istanbul for 2 years, 2004 to 2006, and am currently involved in a practice in Istanbul.
My work in the field of Health Facilities was centred on private hospitals in NSW, Orange, Forster, Newcastle and major a Teaching Hospital in Hong Kong.
Nancy is currently the Cruising Editor for an on line sailing journal Sail-World and her first book will be published next year.
