Each year the Dungog District Chamber of Commerce celebrates the hard work and dedication shown by individuals as they deliver back into our local community.
There are 12 categories in the Awards:
Tourism & Hospitality

Rural Producers
From farmers and nurseries to boutique foods and vineyards
Professional Services
Accountants, Estate agents, Solicitors. They keep the wheels turning!
Trades
Builders, butchers, plumbers, mechanics, beauticians – all those trades that make our lives run smoother!
Manufacturing and Industry
Producing innovative products to just plain functional products – the best in their field
Outstanding Young Employee
Employee under 25 years who demonstrates initiative, high service standards and excellence in their field
Retail
The places you love to shop
Customer Service
Recognising those people who provide outstanding customer service
The “Golden Axe” Award
Environmentally sustainable business practices
Best New Business
Any category, operating for at least 12 months, a new initiative, a new owner, or a significant new development for an existing business
Special Awards (not open for nomination):
Chamber Members Award
For members nominated in other categories who have made a significant contribution to the Chamber, its work or its profile
Overall Business Excellence
The outstanding business from all the above categories
Nomination forms are distributed in the first half of each year and the due date for nominations is usually the end of July, with winners announced at the annual Business Awards dinner in the middle of October.
How you can help is to nominate businesses you feel are deserving, to assist in the judging process by completing nomination forms, and by attending the gala Awards dinner to join us in acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of nominees and winners.
